Confirmed, it's rather confusing.

It is helpful that threads with unread posts do have an icon to go to the first unread post, just the colors are confusing. This seems to be the case for the indexes as well.
I agree. I had to re-register (I could have sworn I was registered one or two site iterations ago, but none of my usual usernames or emails triggered anything) and when I was going through the various forums trying to mark things as read, I'd go back to an index and everything was purple, which made me think 'it must not be working, those icons should be grey now'. It makes more sense to me to have purple icons = unread and grey icons = read.

One thing specifically for mobile that'd be nice is if the username of the most recent reply is displayed. I'm not sure how other people feel but I'm personally more interested in whose replied last than the op of a thread.

Also, unrelated, have you thought about adding a way to access your profile settings/log in-log out on the top banner (obviously on mobile it wouldn't be on the banner but would be in the drop down)? If you're going to have something static at the top of the screen I'd definitely enjoy having that up there (instead of having to scroll back to the top of the page). I know it's probably pretty tight up there though to try to add something else and have it all fit on smaller resolution screens so it's definitely a logical thing to leave off - just thought I'd mention it.
Thank you for your continued work (and sorry I'm nitpicky). :)

Rubine wrote:Definitely looks a lot better with the gray as read and purple as unread - however (I'm sorry!) I still find that if I'm scrolling through quickly to find the forums with unread posts (which I do all the time) the purple still gets lost with the thread names and the lines separating the threads being the same color. It causes me to still have to look pretty hard to make sure it's an unread thread and not my eyes just picking up the purple from the thread names/separation line (especially with that small section of the line having extra weight to it exactly in the spot where the icon is). If I'm the only one though I'll train myself to just take my time instead of scrolling through. :)
This little purple bar makes its kinda hard to find new topics, as Rubine just tried to tell.
The new purple makes it also hard to read the new posts on bottom of the site as the bottom bar is way darker then before.
Still making my normal browser go to like 75% minimizing as the font still quite big if i go to normal view.
Mobile site im using atm tapatalk, as i get on my is5 like 3/4 threads in my whole screen its kinda not usable that way. as its scrolling down and up and with the colors atm im kinda get lost.
And a quick question is there an option for a quick reply box? instead of going to a new screen?
thx in advance

More awake is one thing but in my personal experience sober makes for bad web design.

1. The banner is transparent in page load, but goes purple when I scroll down (stays purple after that too, at least until I navigate to another page or refresh) https://www.dropbox.com/s/mujg7aktnkivx ... -41-56.png
2. The big purple button at the bottom of the page is still offset to the right making the page wider than the screen and therefore has a scrollbar. https://www.dropbox.com/s/m1fsc1u8lvfl9 ... -42-04.png
3. I still gave to double tap every link. Makes it rather frustrating as if I tap too quickly, Chrome thinks I want to zoom in, and too slow makes nothing happen. This may be Chrome or jQuery though, no idea!
4. Noticed while replying to this thread that the page scrolls down for a loooooong way and there are little quote icons repeated several times. I suspect they are overflowing from the topic review frame.
