Hello

So I've got a question 50k int 60% mastery 23% crit 39% tempo

Has also t20 4er bonus .... Should I now go more on crit and tempo a little omit?

When I simme I come on singletarget ca 107700 k dps ...

Others which have ca the same equip come in the simmcraft higher because they have less speed for more crit

Please answer

Is there any Crit cap or a value that I should reach. Because atm I got 12k haste, 48% Mastery and 37% crit and I dont know if I got too much crit, so that its worth droping crit to 30% and get more Mastery.

Same question here: I'm aiming at Haste/Crit items, but my mastery is dropping pretty low compared to crit. Is this a problem? ATM: 12k3Haste 12k9Crit 4k57 Mastery

I'll toss a reply in for both of you, since It's a pretty common question and shadow stats are a complicated beast to begin with. I'd like to begin this though with my own quick view on the data in this page to give things a little context.

1: The weights and sims given here in this post are not altered by legendaries. This doesn't have an enormous effect on results but it is worth considering legendaries which generate insanity compared to a standard 0 legendary build reduce the optimal value of haste. Which would also reduce its value in the pawn string.

2: I dislike pawn, and the team as a whole find it to be something to be used with caution and common sense. More accurate strings can be self simmed using magicsim (https://howtopriest.com/viewtopic.php?f=75&t=10061) but even then using strings to decide gear changes for you is not something you should do.

Now on to the question you've asked. There isn't "really" a mastery flaw as far as we can see. Keeping crit 2-3x higher than mastery is a consistently better option for the stat budgets we have available during ToS (Ilvl permitting ofcourse, there are always exceptions, and the 2-3 ratio is shifted by legendaries such as belt). As a quick rule of thumb dont let mastery drop below a third of your crit.

A more detailed analysis is in the works, going into how legendaries affect stats, and the relationships our secondary stats have, whilst also going a little into the H2P methodology.

Hope that's helped answer any questions. You can always visit the H2P discord for a quicker answer than the forums can provide. (www.discord.gg/howtopriest)

Right now I am sitting at 14.9k haste and ~8.5k crit. I can alter my gear without ilvl loss to make it so that I am at 13.5k haste and 9.9k crit. Is this worth it. The reason I ask is I see priests like Hanno with a much higher amount of crit.

I am pretty sure crit goes up in value for multi target fights when running AS? Is that why it seems he would prioritize that?

Have you tried out Magicsim? My haste value currently is 0.89 compared to 1.198 for crit! The previous sim had haste at 1.34 (yes, i'd managed to get a lot of haste upgrades between those sims). It fluctuates due to stat synergy, so essentially you'd need to sim yourself every significant stat shift to truly min-max I guess. I use it as a general road map for my next upgrade, or shuffle a couple of pieces from my bags. The actual DPS differences become quite small.

Hi, sorry for asking maybe obvious question but if I have Sephuz then haste cap is still 13k or is it lower for me?

Hiya, I am wondering if there is a breakpoint where crit loses value over mastery?

I am currently ~921 4/4 T20 using mangaza + Sephuz with terror from the deep / 860 arcanocrystal and relics are 2x SW:P and unleash shadows (VT AS) with

50350 int (unbuffed)

35% crit (~11750 + crit food)

37% haste (~12900 + Sephuz)

50% mastery (~4900)

4% versatility

Because of how insanity drain works there will be a point where mastery overtakes crit, but this is gliding depending on encounter. A general starting point is to let your mastery be around half of your crit, or slightly lower than half. I think your stats look really good. I would personally use mastery food in your situation, especially on multitarget fights.
