Grievous affix

Hey everyone,
Since I had trouble finding a lot of discussion about the grievous affix, especially when it comes to disc, I decided to get something started here. My understanding is that EU and NA currently have the same affixes, which are bolstering, grievous and tyrannical.
I had a lot of trouble with the affix, because I'm not in the habit of topping people all the time, especially not after combat, which is usually when I start drinking. Even though I dropped a lot of mastery I had trouble getting rid of the stacks on my warri tank with sm and I can only imagine how bad it's going to be with a brewmaster.
CoW might be a necessity even for lower keys, just to keep tanks from even falling below 90%, but I couldn't test that yet.
What has your experience been like? What talent setup do you think is best? And why did anyone think it's a good idea to not have the stacks drop off after combat?...

Grievous isn't too rough for me, but I'm a bit geared which makes it a bit easier to top people up. The best advice I can provide is to be a bit more liberal with Shadow Mend and be sure to use PW:S to prevent some damage while you're topping folks up.

Yeah you absolutely cannot fall behind on healing, which means you can't come to a pull late (so might actually be worth using a mana trinket so you don't have to drink as much). Like mend said liberal Shadow Mend use will be required. Knowing the bosses/mobs really well is important so you can time things like 5x atonement > lights wrath on a big aoe ability not have everyone at 30% hp on everyone and then try to catch up.
I agree that stacks not dropping after combat is stupid - very helpful to have hybrids who can help top people up there. I had a couple times today where I topped a brewmaster tank up, he ran off as I drank and stagger triggered grevious >_<
Also.. lagging out for a few seconds is bad... like really really really bad

Personally I think disc is really good in topping people up. With 2pc and grace you easily do 800k sm. Just make sure to shield-sm. If you are familiar with the dungeon CoW helps out a lot too. Since sm is your best friend on grievious try to get ephemeral paradox. Darkmoon trinket gives you a couple of more sm's more over a fight.
In advance mage food helps a lot after combat since it heals more then 5 stack grievious.

Make sure everyone eats Fight Chow; the 400% out of combat healing pretty much erases this affix when you aren't fighting.

Great advice. Surely will use it on next grievious id!
